So, I tried to remedy the situation by running the Citrix Removal Utility and installing the latest version of Citrix Receiver, which as of yesterday is version 4. Sadly, this has not remedied the problem, and I have yet to find a single forum where this particular issue is addressed let alone resolved. Any help would be appreciated. It is an issue with the new Windows 8.

You have to go to Control center and Display and check the "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays". Then you must logoff. It works very good and you can set this via GPO. You can try this. Not sure of your setup, but it sounds promising. Says for Win 7 but worth a shot. Encountered this issue again. Googled for an answer. Found this thread. Tried your suggestion. Fixed it. Wasn't until after that I realized this was my own thread I started back in April last year over this same issue.

I had this issue with Windows I do not have windows 8, but I had the same problem on Windows The fix is simple even though it took me forever to figure it out. Everyone is right that DPI is the issue here. By default, mind were not. Once I did this, all problems were fixed and not flickering had occurred since. Wow - Props to Alabamr - had this issue on a W10 machine and after an hour of googling, I found this My issue was more like adamhughes3 in that it was the latest W10, laptop with external display.
