Asked by Steve LeClair. We are using Virtual Apps and Desktop 7 and Workspace , copy from our virtual app and paste into his local system Win 10 is not working.
I believe it's supported. We've been using that version throughout yearly upgrades and it's been working for us without problems before and after this version, both with receiver and CWA versions after that. I think you have rather have a problem situation somewhere that needs troubleshooting. Ensure you've the right ones in place and give it a try again. Thanks for the suggestion, already tried that and same result.
Is there anything to enforce the policies? Actually, copying a table is an issue starting Workspace version Anyone knows what changed after Workspace ? Till , copying table was working. Create it in greatest possible resolution and open it. Take a screenshot of the window on the clipboard by pressing Alt-PrtScr. The earlier suggestions and "work-arounds" were useful, but in , there is a better way :.
Microsoft developed a "Relay Service" called Azure Relay. This same service is what's used behind the scenes to power what Microsoft refers to as "Live Code Sharing". This service runs as an extension with several products, but for developers, this would likely be their IDE and code editor: Visual Studio and VS Code. Whether you work from the local or the remote, the changes persist and are shared on each machine.
Thanks the other commenters for their suggestions. I may not have thought of this as an option without the prior suggestions to spark this idea.
I was running on a similar situation but in my case I was trying to copy files from remote Windows to local. You would need to defined it in the Citrix policy to only restricted or not restrict based on certain conditions. The answer would also depend on the direction you are coming from? As a user trying to circumvent the system, or a tech trying to have a select group of users approved to do so.

Hi, There are some known issues in Citrix environment related to clipboard related to copy and paste.
How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. The Clipboard redirection policy can be set on the Citrix backend servers, where the clipboard is a temporary storage area generally memory to store copied information before it is then pasted.
Without the clipboard being available, information can not be copied into temporary storage, therefore no information storage, means no information to be pasted. When the Citrix Administrator has enabled copy and paste but it is still not possible to copy and paste to Citrix, then the device where the Citrix client Workspace, Receiver is installed may have a configuration setting that disables clipboard sharing.
By enabling clipboard sharing on the device, the copy and paste functionality should be restored. Depending on the device where the Citrix Workspace or Citrix Receiver software is installed, the configuration settings to enable clipboard sharing may differ. Other operating systems and web browsers will have different settings to enable the clipboard but generally these should be automatically set to enabled unless they have been manually changed.
Other than asking the Citrix Administrator to disable it and this may be more difficult than it sounds. This is done to protect information from being taken from Citrix to the device, where it could be leaked and use inappropriately without the relevant authorization. The copy and paste functionality in Citrix can also allow information within a Citrix session to be copied and pasted onto the device from where the Citrix session is running.
